Tattered, Torn and Frayed.

Why are the founding fathers principles, the fabric of this nations republic, fraying so badly?   Today, parenting or lack thereof, from the top down could be the reason.   Also, could the lack of faith be its primary source?   Communism is primarily based on people with an atheist M.O.- non-believers in religion, a secular society that looks to government for their underlying beliefs and operational governance.
